Eliot Mack started the home robotics revolution as the lead designer of the original iRobot Roomba.
He began his career as a mechanical engineer, crashing composite vehicles at the University of Michigan and MIT. He then got his first taste of the entertainment industry designing a 5 ton walking dinosaur robot at Walt Disney Imagineering's R&D group.
In 2004, having had his fill of chasing dust bunnies, Eliot followed his interests in visual effects and motion tracking and founded Lightcraft Technology. By applying real time robotics technology to the motion picture industry, he went on to create the Emmy Award-winning Previzion and Halide FX virtual studio systems.
In 2018, he teamed up with Avid founder Bill Warner and CTO Greg Cockroft to create a new vision of 'unified' virtual production technology for everyone, leading to the Jetset virtual production app.
